Living can only be done if done true. So what does it mean to be true? Does it mean to conform to all uncomfortable, sometimes stupid and often suppressing ways of the now? Not in my book. I believe God is the way. In order for me to follow God, and stay true to myself, there will have to be sacrifices. I might have to speak my truth, despite potential hostility. I might have to avoid fun, to not trample on my values.
But. If I do this. If I stay true to myself. Maintain my ways, my integrity, I might actually be able to feel just fine, no matter how popular, or unpopular my opinions might be. Opinions I have a lot of faith in, because I have been told about them by Jesus. I have complete trust in what Jesus says is right, and wrong.
