I was at my aunt’s beautiful house in Denmark. It’s located right at the beach some 40 kilometers north of Copenhagen. The water here is a narrow strait between Denmark and Sweden called Öresund. The lack of space makes it a very busy shippinglane since it’s only one of two major seaways into the Baltic sea.
For some reason I really enjoy just sitting around watching ships. Both the business of logistics and the engineering behind some of the ships has always been appealing to me. That makes the porch here a golden spot.
