Nice ones at that. There are two duplexes with one 2 bed, 1 bath and one 1 bed, 1 bath in each house. I posted some photos of them here on the blog earlier, but I think you might get a better idea of it all in this video from our walk around the place:
I am honestly pretty proud of what we did, me and Rachel. These two duplexes are now in really good condition. There is also a smaller house in the back of the property which is rented by a very kind and quiet old man. We then have two more houses down the street, both rented to nice and clean younger men.
If we get everything rented, which we should since there is already a long list of people wanting to move in, we should be getting a 25% return on investment. That is really spectacular and makes me very happy to say the least. We spent $ 155 000 buying all the houses. Another $ 15 000 on fixing them up. $ 170 000 total. Rental income should be just over $ 4 000 a month.

I’m not sure why, but for some reason, St. Patricks or the feast of Saint Patrick makes me happy. It’s celebrated on the death day of Ireland’s nr. 1 saint, Patrick. It’s a religious celebration that has been official since the 17th century. It’s foremost a catholic event, meaning that people like Filip Hammar who converted are more righteous to take part.
So what do people do? Well. First and foremost. Dress in Green! Then there will be parades and festivals. Then what I think is the reason for its global popularity. Since back in the day, there has been no restrictions on eating and drinking. Not that it matters as much today as it would have in an 18th century catholic Ireland, but still.

My friend lives and skies in the Alps most of the year with some occasional breaks to work in Sweden where he has his real estate and work efficiently! The properties he owns most likely makes him a lot more money than any average worker. Giving how much money he is making on such a minimal input can only mean one thing. He is very efficient.
The reason I bragged about my friend is that I live a very similar life and have a hard time bragging about myself. Even if that’s what I’m doing right now.. What I’m trying to say is that efficiency is everything.

This guy here in central Florida made a really inspiring deal. A big piece of land was up for sale on a really good location. It was about an acre big on a well thought after address. All the land around it had been developed with upper class neighbourhoods and the margins for building something new here would be great!
But there was a problem. The land had been used as a dump. Back in the day they called it landfill. What it means is that they just dug out a big hole and filled it with garbage. As a result, there were major settlement issues and heavy regulations against it so now people will probably ever live on this piece of land.
By the look of things we might be buying two mobile homes that comes with a house and a piece of land here in Florida. Mobile homes exist all over…
